European Golf Association
Founding year: 1937
The EUROPEAN GOLF ASSOCIATION was founded during a meeting held in Luxembourg on the 20th of November 1937. The Association declares as its foundation the observance of the Rules of Golf and Amateur Status as laid down by the R&A Limited. The Association concerns itself solely with matters of an international character. Membership is restricted to European National Amateur Golf Associations, Federations or Unions.
The Association is presently composed of 46 member countries and is governed by the following Committees:
- Executive Committee (10 members)
- Championship Committee (12 members)
- EGA Handicapping & Course Rating Committee
- EGA Sustainable Golf Committee
R&A
Based in St Andrews, The R&A organises The Open Championship, major amateur events and international matches. Together with the United States Golf Association, The R&A governs the game worldwide, jointly administering the Rules of Golf, Rules of Amateur Status, Equipment Standards and World Amateur Golf Rankings. The R&A’s working jurisdiction is global, excluding the United States and Mexico.
The R&A is committed to working for golf and supports the growth of the game internationally and the development and management of sustainable golf facilities. The R&A operates with the consent of 152 organisations from the amateur and professional game and on behalf of over thirty million golfers in 138 countries.
Bulgarian Golf Association
Founding year: 2001
The Bulgarian Golf Association (BGA) was established in June 2001 obtaining the license from the State Agency of Youth and Sport. The BGA joined the European Golf Association in the same year and in 2003 became an affiliated member of the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and joined the International Golf Federation in 2006.
Cyprus Golf Federation
Founding year: 2000
CGF is the official governing body for golf in Cyprus. It was formally established in 2000 and is registered with the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA) and the Cyprus Olympic Committee (KOE).
The CGF is a member of the International Golf Federation (IGF), the European Golf Association (EGA) and is associated with the R&A.
As of January 2008 all golf courses in Cyprus have been slope rated according to the USGA/EGA slope rating system and all CGF member clubs adhere to and use the EGA handicapping system. The Official distance measurement unit of the CGF is the meter (m).
Czech Golf Federation
Founding Year: 1931
Czech Golf Federation (former Czechoslovak Golf Association) was one of the founding members of the European Golf Association in Luxembourg in 1937 giving clear evidence that roots of golf are really deep in this part of Europe. Since its foundation Czech Golf Federation has been a governing body of golf in the Czech Republic. Its main mission has always been to promote and develop the sport of golf, to coordinate national golf activities, to provide appropriate environment for top individual players and national teams to compete and to make golf an available sport to most Czech families.
Deutscher Golf Verband e.V.
Founding year: 1907
Der Deutsche Golf Verband (DGV) ist Dachverband für die Golfclubs und Golfanlagen in Deutschland und vertritt 838 Mitglieder mit über 637.735 registrierten Amateur-Golfspielern. Der DGV ist olympischer Spitzenverband, Mitglied im Deutschen Olympischen Sportbund (DOSB) und der vom DOSB allein anerkannte Spitzenverband für Golfsport in Deutschland.
Golf Association of Serbia
Founding year: 2006
Golf Association of Serbia (GAS) was founded in 2006 in Belgrade. Since then GAS has been dedicated to developing and promoting golf in Serbia.
Nowadays the Association represents a link between R&A, EGA, USGA and local clubs; and it is dedicated to creating a better environment for golf by working actively on its goals:
- Attracting and motivating new golfers.
- Making golf more available to aspiring juniors.
- Training and developing new golf professionals.
- Organizing national tournaments and making it possible for country’s best players to participate in international championships.
- Supporting the growth of new clubs, golf courses and driving ranges all over Serbia and thus raising the overall popularity of golf in this country.
Golfverband Liechtenstein
Founding year: 1966
Der Golfverband Liechtenstein (GVL) verfolgt den Zweck, durch den Zusammenschluss der Golfspielenden den Golfsport zu fördern, die Kameradschaft zu pflegen, den Ausbildungsstand und die Leistungsfähigkeit seiner Mitglieder im Interesse der Volksgesundheit sowie die sportliche Einstellung seiner Mitglieder zu verbessern.
Der Zweck des Vereines: Die Wahrung und Förderung der Interessen, sowie die amateursportliche Ausübung des Golfsportes im Fürstentum Liechtenstein.
Der in Liechtenstein wohnhafte Tibetforscher Professor Heinrich Harrer hatte eine gute Idee: ein Golfplatz und ein Fürstlicher Golf Club in Liechtenstein! Am 13. Juni 1966 wurde im liechtensteinischen Handelsregister unter der Nummer H.CLX/94 ein Verein mit dem Namen „Golf & Country Club im Fürstentum Liechtenstein“ eingetragen.

Malta Golf Association
Founding Year: 2006
The Malta Golf Association was founded during a meeting held on the 16th of April 2006 taking over the responsibilities of the Malta Golf Federation. The Association acts as the governing body for (and as such promotes, administers and encourages) the sport of golf in the Maltese Islands and observes the Rules of Golf and the Rules of Amateur Status as laid down by the R&A of St. Andrews.
The Association is a non-profit organization run by golfers for the benefit of golfers with membership predominantly open to amateur golfers who are members of a golf club or golf society within the geographical area of the association irrespective of gender, colour and religion.
The Association is affiliated to the R&A; the International Golf Federation; the European Golf Association; CONGU; the Maltese Olympic Committee and the Malta Sports Council.
National Golf Association of Armenia
Founding year: 2013
The National Golf Association of Armenia (NGAA) was created in 2013 and is recognized by and the member of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia. The NGAA obtained the license from the State Ministry of Youth and Sport in Armenia. The mission of the NGAA is developing and support golf in Armenia. The Association is affiliated to the R&A, the European Golf Association.
Polish Golf Union
Founding year: 1993
The Polish Golf Union was founded on 31st July 1993 in Warsaw. Currently, it associates 71 golf clubs, which, in turn, have about 3 700 members, who have a sport license (handicap card). Since 2012, PGU members are also the Golf Instructors Association PGA Poland and the Polish Senior Golfers Association.
As an organization having the status of a Polish sport union, the PGU is the only representative of Polish golf in international structures of sport movement, being a member of the Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl), European Golf Association (EGA) and International Golf Federation (IGF) and an organization affiliated at The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews (The R&A).
The Union’s statute aims include: organization and running competition in amateur and professional golf; popularization, promotion and development of golf; representing and protection of interests of union members; training activities; supporting and popularizing of physical culture.
The Polish Golf Union is responsible for setting directions of development of this sport in Poland, calibration of golf courses, supervising handicaps of Polish golfers, implementation and supervision over obeying rules of golf issued by the R&A Rules Ltd., as well as organization of championship tournaments and setting rules of running other golf events in Poland, which are organized under auspices of the Union.
The Polish Golf Union is responsible for appointing the national team (in various age categories), selected from players associated in the PGU, as well as selecting Polish team for participation in international events. The PGU also supports activities of the associated clubs.
Russian Golf Association
Founding year: 1992
The Russian Golf Association (RGA) was created in 1992 and is recognised by and the member of the Russian Olympic Committee. The mission of the RGA is “to continuously develop and support golf in Russia, represent Russian golf by participating and contributing on the international arena and to endorse the education of future generations of Russian golfers.”
The RGA goals are:
- To provide support and assistance to the developers and investors involved in the development of golf facilities.
- To provide support to top Russian golfers (both professional and amateur) participating in international competitions.
- To be an organisation that promotes the values and traditions of golf in Russia, and thereby to raise the level of Russian golf in the world.
- To grow the number of players including children, juniors and retired people.
- To be a well-managed, financially responsible organisation that sets high standards of sports governance in Russia.
Österreichische Golf-Senioren-Gesellschaft
Gründungsjahr: 1964
Die Österreichische Golf Senioren Gesellschaft sieht die Förderung des Golfsports insbesondere für den Seniorenbereich als ihre Aufgabe an. Daher zählen Sport und Freundschaft zu den wichtigsten Werten.
Wir veranstalten jährlich zahlreiche nationale und internationale Golfturniere im In- und Ausland. Die Turnierserie der ÖGS ist schon seit langem zu einem Markenzeichen geworden und aus der Golfszene in Österreich nicht mehr wegzudenken.

Die Österreichischen Golf-Seniorinnen-Gesellschaft
Gründungsjahr: 1987
Die Österreichische Golf-Seniorinnen-Gesellschaft ist ein eigenständiger Verein und Mitglied im Österreichischen Golfverband. Damen, die das 50. Lebensjahr erreicht haben und Mitglied in einem vom ÖGV anerkannten Club sind, können ordentliche Mitglieder werden.
Baronin Anna Maria Mayr-Melnhof und eine Handvoll engagierter und golfbegeisterter Damen gründeten am 3. Mai 1987 im Golfclub Klessheim (Salzburg) die Österreichische Golf-Seniorinnen-Gesellschaft (ÖGSG). Heute zählt der Verein rund 120 Mitglieder.

Golf-Senioren-Vereinigung Südost
Gründung: 1999 vom verstorbenen Ehrenpräsidenten Sepp Fiedler
Ziel der GSV-Südost ist es, ihren Mitgliedern die Möglichkeit zu geben, auf möglichst vielen Plätzen der Steiermark wenigstens einmal im Jahr kostengünstig zu golfen, aber Ihnen auch andere Vergünstigungen (Ermäßigungen, Sonderangebote) zu ermöglichen. Die Turnierserie soll wohl dem sportlichen, aber auch dem gesellschaftlichen Zweck und vor allem dem Spaß an der Sache dienen!

Ursprünglich gegründet 1997 als Seniorentour Wien/Niederösterreich/Burgenland mit den teilnehmenden Clubs GC Ottenstein – Föhrenwald – Schönfeld – Ebreichsdorf – Enzesfeld – Himberg – St. Pölten – Adamstal – Weitra – Haugschlag – Semmering – Leopoldsdorf .
2011 entstanden durch das ausscheiden einiger Clubs zwei – Wien/Niederösterreich/Burgenland Senioren Gruppen. Golf Seniorenliga NÖ – Seniorenrally Ost.

Golf Senioren Liga NÖ

Die GSL NÖ bezweckt die Förderung und Organisation von Golfturnieren für Senioren in Niederösterreich.
Ein wesentliches Anliegen ist die Verbreitung und Pflege des Golfsports – dazu gehört auch die Veranstaltung und
Unterstützung von Golfreisen.

Senioren Matchplay Liga Ost
Gründungsjahr: 2007
Die Senioren Matchplay Liga Ost ist eine Wettspielserie für Seniorenteams, die 2008 mit sechs Clubs aus dem Raum Wien/Niederösterreich/Burgenland in einem Meisterschaftsmodus mit Hin- und Rückrunde gestartet wurde.
2010 wurde sie durch die Gründung einer Division B auf zwölf Clubs erweitert.
Ab der Saison 2011 wurde mit Auf- und Abstieg gespielt.
2017 wurde der Spielmodus geändert und die Meisterschaft nach einer Gruppenphase in zwei Gruppen in einem play off entschieden. Meister wurde in diesem Jahr bereits zum 6. Mal der Colony Club Gutenhof (die weiteren Titel wurden vom GC Wien – 3x – und vom GC Föhrenwald -1x- errungen).
2018 kam es zu einer weiteren strukturellen Änderung. Sechs Clubs aus der geographisch zum Südosten Niederösterreichs zählenden Region bildeten einen eigenen Bewerb, die Matchplay Liga Ost spielte weiter mit sieben Teams in zwei Gruppen und einem play off. Den Titel sicherte sich erstmals der GC Waldviertel!
Ab 2019 nehmen mit GC Wien, GC Waldviertel, GC Schönfeld, GC Süßenbrunn, GC Hainburg, GC Donnerskirchen, Diamond CC und GC Schönborn wieder 8 Clubs an der Liga teil, die erneut in zwei Gruppen und einem play off ihren Meister ermitteln wird.
Seniorenrallye-Mitte Oberösterreich und Salzburg
Gründungsjahr: 2000
2014 waren es 29 Clubs mit insgesamt ca. 2900 Turnierstarts. Die Teilnehmerzahlen bewegen sich zwischen 70 und 150.
2015 starten wir mit 33 teilnehmenden Clubs und 25 Turnieren.
Der Turnierplan 2015 liegt bereits vor.
Für die Wettkämpfe gibt es jeweils eine Tageswertung sowie eine Jahreswertung (die 12 besten Ergebnisse) für:
Mannschaften: Brutto, Netto
Einzel: Brutto Gesamt, Masters Brutto, Masters Netto, Gruppen A und B jeweils Netto
